Phlebotomy - Blood Tests

We provide a daily service available by appointment each morning ( Mon - Fri), run by our phlebotomist, Your doctor will order whatever blood test you need, please book your appointment at reception. The Nurse will give you a card with a phone number to ring to obtain your results.

It is the responsibility of the patient to ensure they have received their blood results.

Obtaining Blood Results

Please note that some routine blood tests may take up to 14 working days to be processed. There is a dedicated results phone in service, managed by our Practice Nurse. This service is operational Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2pm to 3pm the number to call is 087 134 3131

If your doctor has asked you to make an appointment to come in to discuss the results, please ensure that you remember to do so.

INR (Warfarin Levels)

Patients on Warfarin: because of risk factor for clotting patients can have their INR levels checked. It takes 24-48 hours to get a result from the labs, and the doctor then decides on the correct dose of warfarin, and when the patient should next attend for an INR check.
