Tony qualified in medicine from UCC in 1995 after which he gained experience in general medicine by working in hospitals in Cork and in England. Completing his GP Training in Wales he became a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and gained additional qualifications in Child Health and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. He joined the practice in Kinsale in 2002.

Tony has developed a special interest in dermatology and gained further qualifications in that field. He now runs a weekly dermatology clinic in the practice. He also has a special interest in care of the elderly and dementia care.

Tony is actively engaged in teaching and research, is a Trainer on the Cork GP Training Programme and is a part-time Lecturer in the Department of General Practice in UCC.
